Welcome to McDivitt Law Firm!

mcdivitt law firm

Thank you for your interest in working with us, and we hope to answer some of the questions you might have about what it’s like to work at our firm.

McDivitt is a family-owned law firm that has been in Colorado for more than four decades. We now have several offices throughout the state, and we likely have a location near where you live.

While we are a law firm, we also have a robust business supporting our legal team, including a intake department, a marketing department, an accounting department, and an IT department. No matter what you’re looking to do, here we have many opportunities for advancing your career.

“McDivitt cares about their team members. They always show their appreciation, and they always try to help and accommodate their team members. I see McDivitt employees as family.”

—Maria – 2016, Litigation Supervisor

Why choose McDivitt?

If you found this website, you’re probably legally inclined. Maybe you’re an attorney looking for your next place to thrive, you’re a paralegal looking for a great team to join, or you’re just starting your career and wondering what area of the law interests you most. That’s how many of our team members started here as well. Some of the people on our team right now were once baristas, landscapers, MMA fighters and actors, even the attorneys.

“I was at the top of my last field, and when I made the switch, I was starting over. I really wanted to prove myself, and the firm helped me a lot. There was a lot of support and a lot of training, to make sure I could do a good job for everybody.” —Cari – 2014, Pre-Litigation Supervisor

What sets McDivitt apart?

When you work at McDivitt, you aren’t just doing a job, and you aren’t just practicing law. You are actively making a tangible difference in someone’s life. Through fighting for fair settlements for our clients, McDivitt team members, on a daily basis, make it possible for someone to pay their mortgage, or get back to work. We help our clients get the medical care they need so they can heal and go see their kids play sports, or go to a movie without worrying about their future. Due to the work of our team members, McDivitt clients have been able to get necessary neck and back surgeries, the proper mobility device so they can move around with independence, or even afford to outfit their homes to enable them to live more easily after a life-altering injury.

What’s the work environment like at McDivitt?

We aren’t going to sugar-coat it: our team members work hard. We don’t have time to waste when peoples’ lives and well-being are at stake. But because our team is large enough, it means we can continue to support and work for our clients, even when we take breaks to bond and enjoy each other’s company. Through a weekly team huddle, monthly team appreciation events, and two annual all-firm parties, we make sure everyone knows everyone else and our families.

Could I have a career at McDivitt?

The goal for us is to hire and promote, so that when you come to the firm, you stay here, learn here and grow with us. We have a training department dedicated to on-boarding our team members, ensuring we’re setting them up with the tools and resources they need to thrive the second they get started. We also have a Career Pathways program that helps guide our team members into various departments or positions as they learn what areas interest them most. We also have an education reimbursement program, so if you’re trying to become a paralegal or expand your on-the-job skill set, we help pay for that and make sure you have a place to apply your expanding knowledge at work.

“People can grow into any department they choose. Whichever direction they come in, they can grow from there. Once they learn the different departments, they can go and grow into various positions in any department. Our training department is key for that, because there are different classes they can take to get to that next level.”

—Judy – 2010, Hiring & Benefits Coordinator
