Major Truck Accidents & Injuries Occurring in Colorado Springs
Due to their size and weight, commercial vehicles and tractor-trailers are disproportionately responsible for fatal accidents. Even worse, the number of those severely injured or killed in commercial vehicle accidents is far higher. Commercial tractor-trailers and semi-trucks account for nearly 26% of traffic-related fatalities in Colorado. Colorado’s extensive highways and multilane interstates are particularly hazardous driving environments.
On major Colorado roads such as Interstate 225, Interstate 76, Interstate 25, and Interstate 70 and beyond, which all pass through Denver and its suburbs, you are substantially more likely to be struck head-on by a big tractor-trailer. Collisions involving large commercial vehicles are more likely to result in significant injuries, placing victims at greater risk for a number of undesirable outcomes.
Accidents involving commercial vehicles, no matter how little, may result in severe injuries, including head trauma, brain injury, spinal cord damage, and more. Patients may experience psychological anguish that makes it difficult for them to return to their normal lives and routines. Alternately, insurance firms may attempt to coerce you into accepting an unfairly low settlement offer in order to increase their own profitability. Therefore, adjusters may attempt to convince you to accept less money than you need and are entitled to. Do not try to negotiate with these adjusters or take less than the entire amount that you’re due.
