Arvada, CO – Auto-Pedestrian Wreck at 56th Ave & Sheridan Blvd Leaves Man Dead
Arvada, CO (August 6, 2022) – A late-night August 5th collision between an automobile and a pedestrian is being looked into by Colorado State Patrol (CSP) officers, and authorities added that the incident left one man dead.
Around 10:10 p.m., the collision was reported at West 56th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, according to CSP. Per preliminary reports delivered to the press by troopers from the CSP, a 40-year-old Arvada resident was struck by a car and died at the scene from his injuries.
Master Trooper Gary Cutler of CSP said that the driver of the car was a 50-year-old Denver resident. It’s unclear, however, if the motorist would be charged with anything. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will inform the victim’s next of kin before disclosing their identity.
An investigation into the facts surrounding Friday’s auto-pedestrian wreck remains ongoing.
We offer the deceased man’s family and friends our deepest condolences.
Reports of Colorado Pedestrian Fatalities & Injuries
In America, auto-pedestrian collisions cause around 69,400 injuries and 4,400 fatalities per year. In pedestrian accidents, young children and the elderly are more likely to die or sustain serious injuries.
