Can Injured Employees Sue Their Employers?

Each state has its own workers’ compensation laws to protect both employees and employers. Workers’ compensation is designed to make sure employees get the benefits they need to recover after on-the-job injuries and illnesses, while it is also designed to protect employers from facing civil lawsuits.
