On New Year's Eve 2007, we held our first Safe and Sober Free Ride Home program in Colorado Springs and paid for more than 400 cab rides home to assist in the fight against drunk driving. We encourage everyone to make responsible choices, but if you find yourself in need of a safe way home, we'll pick up the tab. The program runs on St. Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo, Halloween, and New Year's Eve, and rides are only good from a bar or restaurant to someone's home, not to other drinking locations.
We'll be offering our Safe and Sober program on Saturday, March 17 from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Remember, rides are for adults from a bar or restaurant to a residence–not another drinking location. Call one of the following cab companies and tell them your ride home is on McDivitt Law Firm:
With New Year's Eve falling on a Saturday, this was definitely one of our busiest programs. Thanks to everyone who helped make this event successful and help keep everyone in our community safe!
With the help of Yellow Cab, we paid for about 150 cab rides home.
Thanks to our community's support, we were able to help ensure Cinco de Mayo revelers had a safe way home, keeping everyone on the roads a little safer.
We provided 260 safe rides home with the help of Yellow Cab of Colorado Springs.
Thanks to everyone who has helped make our Safe and Sober program a continued success in preventing Colorado Springs drunk driving. We look forward to providing this service in 2011.
We provided 283 rides during our Halloween Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program! Thanks again to Yellow Cab of Colorado Springs for its continued support.
As a result of our community involvement, we've been honored to receive awards from the Colorado State Patrol Pikes Peak Region DUI Task Force, the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving of Colorado.
