A 13-year-old girl on a bicycle was injured when she turned into the path of a car which caused a Colorado auto accident, according to The Denver Post.

The 13-year-old was reportedly wearing iPod headphones.

The girl was riding along Mountain View Avenue in Longmont when she turned sharply into a Chrysler Town & Country minivan.

Racing cars cause Colorado Springs auto accident

A three-car Colorado Springs auto accident occurred on Academy Boulevard and Dublin Boulevard.

According to ColoradoConnecection.com, a Toyota Scion had been traveling north on Academy Boulevard while racing a red Honda. The Toyota lost control while driving past Dublin Boulevard and struck the center median. The Toyota continued on the median until it entered the southbound lanes on Academy Boulevard.

A driver of a 2005 Pontiac Soltice traveling south on Academy Boulevard saw the Toyota coming toward him and avoided a head-on Colorado Springs auto accident with the Toyota; however, the Soltice was hit in the left rear end with enough force to completely shear off its left rear wheel, sending the wheel flying south into the front grill of a 2003 Cadillac Escalade.

Semi-truck wrecks in Colorado Springs

A semi-truck had rolled over off the west side of southbound Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

According to ColoradoConnection.com, an investigation revealed that the semi-truck had 10 cars on the carrier at the time of the Colorado Springs truck accident.

The report said that the Colorado Springs truck driver sustained minor injuries but was treated and released on the scene. Speed and alcohol didn’t appear to be a factor in the crash.

Denver police investigate hit-and-run accident

Denver police are investigating a three-car accident near Interstate 70 and Havana Street where a man fleeing the scene of the wreck returned, grabbed a backpack then tossed it in a nearby pond and left, according to The Denver Post.

Police responding to the accident found the man but said he didn’t have the backpack with him. Police are questions the man and say he was carrying marijuana.

The article reports there were no serious injuries.

Denver Broncos player to be sentenced next week

A former Denver Broncos player who pleaded guilty to a hit-and-run accident will be sentenced next week, according to The Aurora Sentinel.

Billy Jenkins, 35, pleaded guilty in January to vehicular homicide after killing a Colorado scooter rider in September. The article said Jenkins ran his Dodge Journey into the rear of a scooter as the 51-year-old rider waited for a red light to change.

Single-car crash results in Colorado Springs death

A 23-year-old Colorado Springs man is dead after his Toyota Camry drove over the center median of North Union in Colorado Springs and continued northbound across three lanes before hitting a tree, according to kktv.com.

It was the only vehicle involved in the accident, and police say alcohol is suspected as being a factor in the Colorado Springs auto accident.

Man on motorcycle killed on Denver interstate

A motorcycle and a car collided in Denver.

In an article from The Denver Post, the accident took place on the northbound exit of Interstate 25 onto I-70 in Denver. The motorcycle hit a barrier and killed the driver, a Denver police lieutenant said in the article.

The car that hit the motorcycle then hit a tractor-trailer, the Denver police lieutenant said.

Denver city bus involved in deadly accident

One person is dead and 15 others are injured after a Denver city bus struck two vehicles after running a red light at a downtown Denver intersection.

According to the Associated Press, a man in the car died at the hospital of his injuries, and a woman in the car was in critical condition.

A spokesperson with the Regional Transportation District said the bus driver was taken to the hospital with injuries, and the transportation agency was working with police to determine what happened.

Police officer hurt in Colorado motorcycle accident

KRDO-TV reported a police officer was patrolling early Saturday morning when he was involved in a Colorado Springs motorcycle accident.

A 27-year-old man was driving his Kia Optima when he hit the police officer near the intersection of Vermijo Avenue and Tejon Street, causing the Colorado motorcycle accident.

The police officer flew about 45 feet off his motorcycle as a result of the impact of the Colorado Springs motorcycle accident. He was taken to Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested the man who caused the Colorado motorcycle accident. He was charged for vehicular assault and DUI.
