Denver police investigate hit-and-run accident

Denver police are investigating a three-car accident near Interstate 70 and Havana Street where a man fleeing the scene of the wreck returned, grabbed a backpack then tossed it in a nearby pond and left, according to The Denver Post.
Police responding to the accident found the man but said he didn’t have the backpack with him. Police are questions the man and say he was carrying marijuana.
The article reports there were no serious injuries.
