Racing cars cause Colorado Springs auto accident

A three-car Colorado Springs auto accident occurred on Academy Boulevard and Dublin Boulevard.

According to ColoradoConnecection.com, a Toyota Scion had been traveling north on Academy Boulevard while racing a red Honda. The Toyota lost control while driving past Dublin Boulevard and struck the center median. The Toyota continued on the median until it entered the southbound lanes on Academy Boulevard.

A driver of a 2005 Pontiac Soltice traveling south on Academy Boulevard saw the Toyota coming toward him and avoided a head-on Colorado Springs auto accident with the Toyota; however, the Soltice was hit in the left rear end with enough force to completely shear off its left rear wheel, sending the wheel flying south into the front grill of a 2003 Cadillac Escalade.

Semi-truck wrecks in Colorado Springs

A semi-truck had rolled over off the west side of southbound Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

According to ColoradoConnection.com, an investigation revealed that the semi-truck had 10 cars on the carrier at the time of the Colorado Springs truck accident.

The report said that the Colorado Springs truck driver sustained minor injuries but was treated and released on the scene. Speed and alcohol didn’t appear to be a factor in the crash.

Denver police investigate hit-and-run accident

Denver police are investigating a three-car accident near Interstate 70 and Havana Street where a man fleeing the scene of the wreck returned, grabbed a backpack then tossed it in a nearby pond and left, according to The Denver Post.

Police responding to the accident found the man but said he didn’t have the backpack with him. Police are questions the man and say he was carrying marijuana.

The article reports there were no serious injuries.
