Yesterday three people sustained injuries after being involved in a Colorado auto accident. According to reports, the driver of a pickup truck was stopped and preparing to turn left onto another road when an SUV hit the rear of the truck.

The driver of the truck was able to safely pull his vehicle to the side of the road, while the driver of the SUV was unable to keep control of his vehicle and subsequently slid into a ditch and gate before coming to a rest.

The driver and passenger in the truck were taken to a local medical facility and were treated for head and neck injuries, while the other driver is still receiving medical care and has been reported in stable condition.

Authorities do not believe that high speeds or drugs played a factor in the Colorado car crash. Rather, they believe that the SUV driver, who was cited for careless driving and driving without proof of insurance, wasn’t paying attention while driving.

The driver had also been drinking and was cited for driving an unsafe vehicle because the car’s tires were bald to the point that steel was showing through the rubber.
